Martín Berasategui Morir Remando.
The antidote to the culture of 20-second videos.
TikTok is the quintessence of the ultrafast culture that idolizes the immediate, the super-short. Whatever fits in a spreadsheet cell. “If it’s short and you fail, you fail fast,” they say. But if you succeed, you leave just as little of a mark, don’t you? This documentary work for the Martín Berasategui brand shares format and essence with the idea of fighting that culture of the ephemeral, the kind that leaves no trace. It seeks to preserve the story of a role model in values and behavior. That of the Arraun Lagunak rowing club. The club where the greatest chef in the history of Spain — the most internationally recognized, with 12 Michelin stars — was raised on values.
This medium-length documentary about the most incredible rowing club in the world — about the sea against the rock, about women’s rowing, about drugs, about perseverance, about friendship… — is a purely organic content piece that runs 1,520 seconds and holds the record (by a landslide) for views on our YouTube channel.
By the way, with this work Martín Berasategui received a National Creativity Award for a poster, not for a dessert. “A baton to guarantee that the generational handover doesn’t leave behind what carries us forward”.
“IMPRESSIVE. Superdios. Garrote total. Aupa!”
