[What]. We are a 100% creative strategic consultancy that in 2020 chose to take a different path, after spending 18 years steering that of our region's leading brands at the helm of the biggest traditional agencies. We are a 100% strategic creative company whose purpose is not to stop until we create unstoppable stories. A company that has chosen to do creativity from a place of commitment. A rare agency, born after advertising. And growing determined. Free. Independent, so we can choose. And at the same time. Committed to those who choose us.
[How].
[Why]. The world's largest study on trust (The Edelman Trust Barometer) found in 2021 that brands now generate more hope for change than NGOs, Governments and Institutions. The world has already changed. So has creativity. Today it's social, free and disruptive. Bigger ideas, smaller structures. From me, to we. Relevance instead of notoriety. A cult of craft. Trust in emotional stimulus. And in the feeling of belonging and identity. We believe in all of that. And that today everything changes. All the time. Except one thing that will always remain. The power of creativity to transform society.

[Who].

We’ve never understood why, if what’s expected of an agency is creativity, in most agencies the creative force never exceeds 35% of the staff. 90% of Shernan are creatives, and we believe this peculiarity is our essence. And the key to being able to manage multiple projects at once while guaranteeing the presence of creative judgment at every stage of the project. Well, guaranteeing all that, plus bad jokes and puns at all hours, and 90% of the office screens filled with beautiful things. Hehe.

He has led creativity from a strategic standpoint at dimensión (14 years), at The Farm Madrid and Miami (1 year), at acc (3 years) and then again at dimensión (2 years). He was a partner at both acc and dimensión, a truly unprecedented position in our market that gives him an enriched, cross-cutting, 360 knowledge of the industry. He has deep experience with the leading brands of our region and several national ones. Euskaltel (16 years), Eroski (12 years), Keler (7 years), Grupo Damm, Keler, Oro Bilbao, Mahou-San Miguel, Heineken Group (Cruzcampo Gran Reserva), Muga, Delaviuda, Angulas Aguinaga (Krissia), Kaiku, Carretilla, Palacios Alimentación, Zahor. Cafés Aitona. Red Bull. Athletic de Bilbao, Real Sociedad, SD Eibar. Gipuzkoa Tourism, University of the Basque Country, Eitb, El Diario Vasco. Kutxa, Caixa Galicia, 3M, BBK, Unicaja, Asisa. Avia, Renault. Garbera. Tabakalera. Moyua, SAPA, GH, Wisco, Hart (Grupo Evia), Ikusi (Velatia), Orloga. Arzak. Martin Berasategui. Andoni Aduriz (Topa). He has served on juries at El Ojo de Iberoamérica, Cdec, Laus.. He devotes his time to identifying that intangible “what” of every brand, the thing that helps them connect with people. Especially with the people who belong to our territory (physical or emotional), or want to belong to it. And to creating and telling stories with intelligence and sensitivity, executing them with quality, and building crossmedia talent teams to solve any need a brand may have.

Battle-hardened in a thousand big ones, he's one of the greats (metaphorically speaking). He spent 16 years growing (metaphorically speaking) at the biggest ex-agency: dimensión. There, metaphorically speaking, he was the Guardiola of account management for our region's leading brands (Euskaltel, Laboral Kutxa, Real Sociedad, Virgin… plus 16 years' worth of ellipses…). Here his alias (earned the hard way) is Patatín, because he ends his sentences with the Spanish expression “que si patatín, patatán” instead of saying etcetera like everyone else in the world. We don't know how so much planning capacity and common sense can fit inside Igor. But if anything defines him, it's that he has a lot of patience. It couldn't be any other way when you manage a team of pure creatives. Pure, metaphorically speaking.

Luis is the embodiment of the best talent at its best moment. He comes from 8 years as Art Director at Dimensión, and before that spent just as many at Arista. The two biggest agencies of the 2000s and 2010s in the Basque Country. A graduate of BAU in Barcelona, during his eight years living there he came into his own as a creative and partner at Hamo Studio, the collective where projects for Saatchi & Saatchi or Batllegroup flowed alongside music videos for Bcore and legendary bands like The Linn Youki Project, Delorean or Standstill. He has brought his creative and strategic vision to brands like Euskaltel, Real Sociedad, Diageo, Estrella Galicia, the Basque Government, the Provincial Council, Ramón Bilbao or Tecnalia. At Shernan his job is to keep doing exactly that, while also influencing and improving the work of the agency's other talents.

María arrives with the Havas and Webedia stamp in her DNA, and with Revolut, Mahou and Amazon in her portfolio. Madrid gave her a lot: it taught her to move between extremes, from Solán de Cabras to Spotify, from Nivea to Illojuan, along the way organizing massive events like the Partidazo de Youtubers or running Twitch live streams with thousands of viewers alongside Nil Ojeda or Estopa. Brands with history and creators writing tomorrow's, all in the same sprint. Brother Escuela de Creativos was her leap into the creative world, and she hasn't stopped since. Now she's back in the Basque Country, and at Shernan she is our Digital Account Executive: she'll connect the world of Influencer Marketing with strategy and creativity, or to put it another way, she'll get today's clients and tomorrow's teams speaking the same language.

More than 20 years of experience making everything more beautiful. She studied Industrial Design Engineering at Mondragon University, then engineered her way into design at Gaia, the school of applied arts. Later she was a designer at Arista and art director at Promueve. At Shernan she's already the master, starting to collect the awards she deserves as our art director, product and advertising graphic designer, animator (and animated), illustrator, 3D modeler, and owner of her own model of eating. She's vegan in her own way. Or in other words: Vegane. She has also earned the nickname Koreane, because she's a fan of Korean music, which she often sings and dances to at the office. We suspect she makes up the lyrics, though we haven't been able to verify that. At least not until we finish the collection of words ending in Ane (like gipuzkoane, artesane or veterane, which for instance describes someone who has been working for many years yet keeps the energy and excitement of someone starting today), which we're compiling to understand her world. The Diccianerio.

Idoia is a specialist in handling graphic material and preparing publications for every medium, on and off, on deadline and with such quality assurance in something so fundamental that she should really be called Pilar, Spanish for pillar. She's a column. And therefore, nobody like her to square text boxes into columns. Her ex-agency is also Dimensión. So she has worked extensively for clients like Euskaltel, Laboral Kutxa, Real Sociedad, Donostia City Council, the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, Kaiku or ULMA, among others. Making sure nothing fails for the brands that cannot fail. She also has a lot of patience, so the mere presence of her + Igor at the office is the closest thing to taking a chill pill or a diazepam.

And Mayor of Baliarrain. No joke (you can check Wikipedia). In Andoain, he works in motion graphics and audiovisual production (digital audiovisual content creation, editing, 3D creation and motion design). Trained at the Andoain Film and Video School, this euskaldun of pure txapela is local talent and therefore 100% Shernan. On top of that, Julen is the person with the most surreal answers to any comment you throw at him. Maybe that's where his calling for politics comes from. For more information, google “Wikipedia Baliarrain julen zalakain” and you'll see that besides being the youngest Mayor in Euskal Herria, he is a League of Legends world champion under the alias “G2 Sowie”. What a wonder the Wiki is. It's incredible. Though not as incredible as Julen.

She took a Master's in Creativity at laBasad Barcelona School of Arts & Design. But before that, she worked at several companies. We like people who do things backwards. And before working as Digital Marketing manager at a distribution company, she studied at the University of the Basque Country and graduated in Audiovisual Communication. In between, she directed a short film, “Hotzean Garbitu”, screened at several festivals. And studied Digital Marketing. She came to shernan from the world of wine, from the Marketing department of a company that distributes them. She did her Master's internship at Shernan. We loved her, and ever since she makes her way here combining a stretch of train with a stretch of bike. The oil barrel is not her thing. What is her thing: dressing in loud colors, and partying. That's why she has earned the nickname Marta Fiesteijeira.

He studied Audiovisual Communication at Mondragon Unibertsitatea, where he began shaping his creative eye. He took his first professional steps at the Dimensión agency, in an internship he quickly outgrew. Determined to sharpen his style, he specialized in post-production at Escuela Centa in Donosti and in motion graphics at Voxel School, in Madrid. For two years he was part of LACRÈME, where his job wasn't just editing video but something more important: building stories, with rhythm, tension, narrative… Every piece carries his signature, raising goosebumps, making pieces that are genuinely scary… . Because it was never just about cutting, it was about making every second count. Now, this specialist in sending shivers down your spine lands at Shernan with a clear mission: to bring life, and a little vertigo, to those videos that were asking for something more. He combines his agency work with projects of his own, exploring new languages and always pushing his level one step further, on his own turf.

Full Stack Developer specializing in backend architectures based on Java and Spring Framework. He regularly works with technologies like Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, MySQL and PostgreSQL. He also has experience with Python, C#, .NET and Unity. There are people who learn technology. And there are people who need to understand how everything in front of them works. Salah belongs to the second category. He has taken part in projects ranging from e-commerce platforms developed with Spring Boot and Angular to hospital management systems built on scalable architectures. He has also collaborated on Unity development projects within multidisciplinary teams of more than 150 professionals. His way of understanding technology combines two qualities that rarely come together: curiosity and discipline. That need to understand how things work took him from Morocco to Granada and from Granada to Madrid, where he trained as a developer before continuing his university path. He is currently studying Computer Engineering at the UOC while continuing to broaden his knowledge and professional experience. He speaks Arabic, Spanish, English and French. And he faces every new technical challenge with the same attitude: take it apart, understand it, and build it back better. At Shernan we like to say we don't stop until we create unstoppable stories. Well then: Salah is unstoppable. And he has decided to write his own story, in code.

In national and international agencies since 2012, our digital planner has built her career while the industry transformed around her. She develops digital plans for brands aimed at improving reputation, influence and reach in visibility, driving conversion to sales, and hitting any other goal a brand challenges us with. Despite appearances, MissLA is not an avatar, nor was she created by AI. If you want to find out what's inside her head, we can meet at the agency. Or over video call. /End.

"As a local business, we strive to give back to the community part of what it gives us."
